First Visit

To start, tell us what is going on. You will get  a one-on-one consultation with the doctor. Then, if it sounds like chiropractic can help, we will start the exam. First you get a computerized analysis of your nervous system (don’t worry it does not hurt) and hands-on analysis of your spine (that doesn’t hurt either!). The analysis of your spine will show if you have subluxations and if you should receive your first chiropractic adjustment.

We follow this with a brief explanation of what we find, our initial impression as to whether this is something chiropractic can help or not. If it is not something we can help we will provide helpful information on who or what can. Depending on the results of your examination and history we may then have the necessary X-rays performed.

You should know that when someone has a misalignment of one or more bones of their spine, creating tension or pressure on the nerves, doctors call that a “subluxation”. Subluxations interrupt nerve impulses from your brain to your body. They cause:

  • Your spine to decrease its ability to turn, bend or twist.
  • Imbalance of your hips causing a functional short leg
  • Poor posture
  • Fatigue, or lack of energy

Subluxations stop healing, they interupt the flow of life, promote disease and can cause many different symptoms.

Day 2

On your second visit, you will come back for a complete Doctor’s Report of findings. Everything will be explained to you in detail. We will make recommendations for you based on your exam findings and your health care goals. We will review finances at this time. Following this explanation and after we have answered all your questions we will give you your first Chiropractic adjustment.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is the art of using a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is subluxated, "locked up," or not moving properly. The purpose of this safe and natural procedure is to eliminate interference to the nervous system, improving spinal function and overall health.
